President Muhammadu Buhari was inaugurated a year ago on a wave of optimism that the former military ruler could revive a nation battered by falling oil prices and decades of corruption.

However, now many experts predict that the country will soon enter a recession as an upsurge of militant attacks since February has sent crude oil production, which usually accounts for 70% of government revenue, plummeting to an almost 30-year low.
Delays in approving a budget as well as the president’s denial for a long time to weaken an overvalued currency have forced foreign investors to flee.
Nigerians, who are desperate to see much-awaited change, took to the Facebook account of the former minister of finance Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala to beg her to help Nigeria revive the economy and vying it out of recession since it’s crystal clear that the government of the day seems over burdened on the way to go.
